Meetings / Picnics

Sunday, June 28, 2009
Cookout at the home of Joe & Peggy Howard in Derry, NH.  Everyone is invited to come early, at 11:00 am rather than the usual 1:00 pm start so they can take advantage of the beach (it is shallow and great for kids) or just socialize.

DIRECTIONS: 5 Howards Grove, Derry, NH.  approximately 6 miles East of Rt. I-93 NH Exit #3 for Rt 111.  The address is Derry, but we are closer to North Salem and Hampstead.  Turn Right at bottom of the ramp and take Rt 111 East for about 4.5 miles to Island Pond Road.  Make sure to stay on Rt 111.  A new section was recently opened near Rt 93 to bypass several residential areas and it is not shown on Mapquest or GPS.  After the new section of road, look for a Gulf station on the Left at a traffic light.  Take that Left onto Island Pond Road.  Go 1.25 miles on Island Pond Road and turn Right onto Northshore Road.  Go approximately 1/2 mile on Northshore Road and turn Right into driveway marked with Howard's Grove sign on the telephone pole.  Go down driveway (700 ft), house on Right.  Park on the grass.
