Unique among American automobiles for 1965 was the AMC Marlin, a fastback 2-door hardtop. Built on the Classic chassis, the Marlin combined sporty styling with family-sized passenger space.To go with its sporty looks, the Marlin could be had with an AMC-designed 327 cid V-8 with 4-barrel carburetor and console mounted Twin-Stick transmission.
