1964 Rambler American 440 2drHT.
196 six, 92,000 miles. This car has been said to be a true
survivor. It is definitely a blast from the past, and it feels so
great to drive this car. I drive it several days during the week
when I am not riding my motorcycle. The Rambler has been upgraded
with front disc brakes and electronic ignition - no points to mess
with. The seats have been reupholstered in a very nice
complimentary green combination. The gas tank has been cleaned
and the inside has been sealed and the outside has been painted.
The trunk has been painted and looks awesome. No rust, some
scratches on the surface paint. Very good tires with plenty of
tread, so you could drive it home if you wanted to do so. I have
installed a high grade stainless steel muffler - sounds very nice with
a low rumble. I have the front carpet removed, so you can see
that there is no rust on the floorboards and no repair work has been
done to them. I have a spare engine block and head, and
transmission that can be purchased separately. Many other spare
parts will also be sold on Craigslist. This car is very nice and
I always get compliments when I drive it. I have lots of
documentation, including a build sheet and its history from the
original owner. I have priced it at a very reasonable price, and
I am a little flexible if you buy the extra engine and Flash-O-Matic
transmission - you do not see these cars around much, especially in
this condition. Only asking $500 for the extra engine and
transmission. She is 51 years old this year, and looks great for
her age. I have posted a walk-around video on You Tube Video Link. $6500. To return to the sales page click here. |
